What do I design?
I’ve built a gamut of puppets, from 3” miniature rod puppets, to experimental shadow puppets, to 16’ tall pageant puppets. Each project has its own set of exciting challenges and gifts. There’s nothing quite as satisfying as seeing a fully realized puppet, that started out as an idea on paper, breath to life and transport our hearts and minds.
What have I directed?
I’ve worked on large scale community engaged projects directing over a hundred performers, I’ve helped devise and direct small scale puppet productions, and I’ve collaborated on plays as a puppet coach. I especially love taking on projects that have me working in conjunction with community members, or have me mentoring emerging puppeteers.
